Sailing on Le Commandant Charcot: Ponant’s Ice Breaker Ship

I had the wonderful opportunity to experience Ponant’s ice breaker ship called Le Commandant Charcot. It was a short sailing of 4 days at sea between Brest in France and Reykjavik in Iceland. 4 days at sea gave me the chance to explore every aspect of the ship and above all to learn all about the construction of the ship and what it can achieve on the ice…
My Finnish Lapland Christmas Adventure

Welcome to the country of a thousand lakes! Finnish Lapland is a dream destination. If you like nature, silence, and beauty, Lapland is for you. After eight days spent in Finnish Lapland, I am overwhelmed with feelings of peace and excitement. It was a dream trip for many reasons. With some of the happiest people on the planet, more than a hundred thousand lakes, forest for as far as the eye can see, and a sauna in almost every household, it is no wonder Finland is often called a Nordic utopia. The air is pure, the water is clear, and wildlife is always around. The sun never fully rises in December, but the light coming from the white snow makes for a winter wonderland. It is mystical.
My Katarina Line Cruise Adventure to Croatia

Over 2 years ago I listened to a representative from Katarina Cruise lines talk about his product at our famous Utah Travel Expo. I was intrigued. Croatia has always been on my dream list and seeing this amazing country by small cruise line sounded perfect to me. Sign me up!
Unfortunately the world had different plans and like many of my fellow travelers, my cruise was cancelled in 2020 and also 2021. Optimistically I rebooked in 2022 and just returned from this incredible experience.
My Viking River Cruise on the Rhine

I just returned from a 7-day cruise on the Rhine on one of Viking” s ship, Viking Kara, exploring Switzerland, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The Rhine River runs from the Swiss Alps through the Franco-German border and empties into the North Sea up in the Netherlands. I embarked in Basel on a beautiful sunny Sunday. I spent the night before in Basel and discovered its lovely medieval old town. Embarkation was seamless…
There Is So Much More to Africa Than Safaris

If you think Africa is all desert and savannah plains, you’re incorrect. Its landscapes are as diverse as they are breathtaking, a liberal helping of pretty beaches, charming towns, and stunning panoramic views.
Here are my picks for two of the most beautiful places in Africa:
My Caribbean Seabourn Adventure

From the moment I arrived, everything about my trip just flowed. My entire experience was beautifully choreographed and seamlessly carried out, so I could relax and truly be on vacation. Seabourn proudly sails the world’s most modern and luxurious fleet of intimate, all ocean-front suite ships. Combining nimble power and grace with beautifully designed spaces and amenities, they can access picturesque, less visited ports where other ships cannot go with a high staff to guest ratio offering personalized service.
My Portugal Adventure

I noticed a lot of interest in travel to Portugal a few years ago. I had been myself around 20 years ago but only as an ending to a trip to Spain. I had done a lot of research for my client’s trips and was eager to travel there myself. After all, Portugal is a country with very diverse scenery and climate.
My Adventures in Spain

Visiting the Andalucia region of Spain is the quintessential Spanish experience. Everything from the charm of the white hill towns, to the flamboyant Flamenco dancers, to bull fighting matadors, to tasty tapas feels like a page right out of a travel magazine. Also in this region you’ll find the Alhambra in Granada and the Mezquita in Cordoba that melds Europe and Islamic architecture into a mesmerizing experience. The nearby Costa del Sol is a perfect place to slow down and soak up some Spanish sun.
My Iceland Signature Educational Experience

I recently returned from an amazing educational experience to Tahiti. We started our journey in LA taking Air Tahiti Nui. I was not a fan of this airline. The aircraft were old, the flight attendants and staff indifferent and there was very little choice of entertainment on the 10 hour flight. They are getting new aircraft in November. We arrived late at night in Papeete and were transported to the Intercontinental. It was a beautiful property with very nice gardens, pools and beach. The food was good and they had wonderful entertainment our last night.
