My Journey to the End of the Earth: Antarctica

Antarctica had always been on my dream list of destinations. Over the years, I had helped clients plan their journeys to this remote continent, diving into extensive research along the way. When I finally embarked on the trip myself, I found it every bit as awe-inspiring as I had imagined.

This journey is no small feat—it takes at least two days to cross the Drake Passage from Ushuaia, the southernmost city in Argentina, to the Antarctic continent. But don’t let the distance discourage you; it is absolutely worth the effort.

A Bavarian Winter Wonderland: Exploring Christmas Markets, History, and Charm

Nestled in the heart of southern Germany, Bavaria transforms into a magical wonderland during the winter season. With shimmering lakes, snow-dusted mountains, medieval towns, and the glow of festive Christmas Markets, this region offers an unforgettable holiday experience. My recent journey through Bavaria took me to Lake Tegernsee, Munich, Nuremberg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, and Augsburg, blending serene nature, history, and yuletide charm.

My Peruvian Adventure

I recently returned from an unforgettable week in Peru, a country that captivated me with its rich culture and breathtaking landscapes. Though the trip was short, we packed in some incredible experiences!

Before the cruise, I arrived a day early in Copenhagen and instantly wished I had more time to spend there. The city is truly beautiful, with its lush gardens, charming parks, and picturesque harbors. The locals were warm and welcoming, making the visit even more enjoyable. I stayed at the Nobis Hotel, a beautifully refurbished former music conservatory, conveniently located next to Tivoli Gardens.

My Silversea Cruise to the Norwegian Fjords

I recently had the pleasure of serving as the Signature host on a 10-day Silversea cruise, departing from Copenhagen and exploring the stunning coastal towns and fjords of Norway.

Experiencing Beautiful Southern Croatia

With more than 1,100 miles of coastline and hundreds of islands, everything about Croatia is connected to the seas. Known as the Dalmatian coast, southern Croatia is recognized for its charming medieval cities, national parks, and rich Mediterranean cuisine. Of course, the traveler will recognize cities like Dubrovnik and Split, but there are other areas begging to be explored like Sibenik and Trogir, both just a short drive from Split. There are also other charming cities ringing the Bay of Kotor, Montenegro, which is a short 1-hour drive from Dubrovnik.

My Educational India Adventure

I love to travel to places that are out of my comfort zone. When the opportunity came to join a Signature educational India adventure with Abercrombie and Kent, I knew this was a great opportunity to see incredible scenery and fascinating culture and explore somewhere new for myself as well as my clients.

My Katarina Line Cruise Adventure to Croatia

Over 2 years ago I listened to a representative from Katarina Cruise lines talk about his product at our famous Utah Travel Expo. I was intrigued. Croatia has always been on my dream list and seeing this amazing country by small cruise line sounded perfect to me. Sign me up!

Unfortunately the world had different plans and like many of my fellow travelers, my cruise was cancelled in 2020 and also 2021. Optimistically I rebooked in 2022 and just returned from this incredible experience.

My Caribbean Seabourn Adventure

From the moment I arrived, everything about my trip just flowed. My entire experience was beautifully choreographed and seamlessly carried out, so I could relax and truly be on vacation. Seabourn proudly sails the world’s most modern and luxurious fleet of intimate, all ocean-front suite ships. Combining nimble power and grace with beautifully designed spaces and amenities, they can access picturesque, less visited ports where other ships cannot go with a high staff to guest ratio offering personalized service.

My Portugal Adventure

I noticed a lot of interest in travel to Portugal a few years ago. I had been myself around 20 years ago but only as an ending to a trip to Spain. I had done a lot of research for my client’s trips and was eager to travel there myself. After all, Portugal is a country with very diverse scenery and climate.

My Poland Adventure

On first impression the country of Poland is clean and efficient. The traffic is manageable and its population is homogenous, with 97% being ethnic poles and 75% of the population practicing Catholicism. There are very few minority groups in the country. The city of Warsaw has a large percentage of its space dedicated to parks and green areas, about 30%. The number of trees is surprising. Although Warsaw was predominately rebuilt after WWII, it still has a charm to its Old City that’s attractive and inviting for tourists.
